Triflate

The ion triflate CF₃SO₃^- is the combined Base of the trifluoromethanesulfonic Acide CF₃SO₃H, a Superacide 1000 times more corrosive than the sulphuric Acid concentrated. These 2 species have faculty to resist the reactions of oxydoreduction.
