Tricolor macaw
The tricolor Ara was an endemic species as of the island of the Pines and Cuba like probably of Hispaniola. It was driven out for its flesh and to be resold like pet. The last taken specimen was it in 1864 and the last observation of this bird goes back to 1885. The species is regarded today as extinct.
