Tricky
Adrian Thaws , born the January 27th 1968 with Bristol-board, more known under the name of Tricky , is a British rappor and a musician of importance of the movement Trip hop.
Biography
In the Years 1980, it belonged to The Wild Bunch, a group of Bristol-board rap. To the beginning of the Years 1990, it contributed to the first two albums of Massive Attack, then carried out in 1995 its first album solo: Maxinquaye . It was a large success.It missed completing the writing of words for the album Protection of Massive Attack and gave to this group of the words written for its own album Maxinquaye . Various versions of the same songs thus appear on the albums of the two musical formations.
It thereafter delivered six albums, of which the chief of work Nearly god left in 1996 when it takes again Tattoo , a piece of Siouxsie and the Banshees. At its beginnings in solo, the singer who accompanied it was Martina Topley-Bird, her ex-wife. Since, it met Costanza Francavilla which passed to him a model in Italy at the end of one in its concerts. It accompanies it since on its discs and in concert. It also made an album of duets: Nearly God . And is frequently asked to make some.
It made a concert the June 26th 2003 with the Zenith of Paris, although it goes seldom abroad. Emilie Simon, singer French the electro one, sang there its first song, Désert . It also passed by the festival of the Eurockéennes 2003.
Tricky forged a strong image and with share through its clips, in particular those carried out by Stephan Sednaoui for the pieces Hell is Around the Corner and For Real . It was also tested successfully with the realization.
In 2003, it resides at New York.
