A triceps muscle is a Muscle having three muscular chiefs i.e. three insertion skeletal.
There are two in the human body:

  • the triceps sural (C. - with-D. Calf), located at the posterior part of the leg, is the muscle which gives its relief to the calf. Its three chiefs are the side gastrocnémien (twin in the past external), the gastrocnémien médial (twin in the past intern) and the soléaire. It is bungee cord of the foot and incidentally flexor of the leg. Its action is antagonistic of that of the former leg muscle.

In musculation, to develop the triceps brachial, one of the most effective exercises are the Dips.
