Tricasses

  • Etymology proposed:
1 the Tricasses are a Gallic people. Their name comes from tri “three” and breakages “battalion”. They gave their name to Troyes.

2 Another possibility, SORTING would be here an intensive prefix followed by the root CASSOS which has two distinct directions 1 " frisé" as an adjective and 2 " passionné". TRI-CASSOS would be then " who is very fougueux" implying a warlike direction.
