Tribe of Manassé
The tribe of Manassé is one of the Twelve tribes of Israel.
Manassé was one of wire of Joseph. One generally counts the tribe of Manassé in the list of the twelve tribes in the place of that of Joseph. It is also the case for the Tribu of Éphraïm, other wire of Joseph. The Bible speaks sometimes about a half-tribe of Manassé with the tribes of Ruben and Gad, because these two tribes and half took share with the conquest of the Pays of Canaan but remained installed Eastern side of the the Jordan while the others Tribus of Israel whose second half-tribe of Manassé were installed by Josué on the Ground of Israel.
