Triaki-icosahedron

A triaki-icosahedron is a dual polyhedron of a Solide of Archimedes, or a Solide of Catalan. Its dual is the Dodécaèdre truncated.

It can be seen like a Icosaèdre with triangular pyramids added on each face. This interpretation is expressed in the name.

This interpretation can also be associated with other similar not-convex polyhedrons with pyramids various heights:

  1. First stellation of the icosahedron (sometimes called a triaki-icosahedron )
  2. Large spangled dodecahedron (with very large pyramids)
  3. Large dodecahedron (with reversed pyramids)
