Tremblay-in France is a common French, located in the department of the Seine-Saint-Denis (in the past Seine-et-Oise) and the area Île-de-France.
Its inhabitants is the Tremblaysiens . By the Decree of the August 16th 1989, Official journal of the August 19th 1989 and effect with the August 20th 1989, Tremblay-lès-Gonesse becomes Tremblay-in-France.
Geography
Tremblay-in-France is the vastest commune of the department of Seine-Saint-Denis with its 2.244 hectares. Located at 25 km of Paris, it is limited by the Val-d'Oise to the North-West, the Seine-et-Marne in the east. Tremblay which culminates at an average altitude of 85 m to the Old man-Country and 60 m on banks of Ourcq, belongs geographically to the Plain of France which is cut out by the valleys of the Marne, the Seine and Oise.
Called in the past Tremblay - - Gonesse, the city consists of three principal poles: the airport platform of Paris-Charles-of-Gaulle, located at horse on the communes of Roissy and Tremblay, the Old man-Country, old village located at the North surrounded by arable lands which separate the airport from the remainder of the city, and it center town, also called great unit, and which includes/understands to it quasi totality of the social rental equipment and of the large buildings of the city. The remainder of the territory of the commune is mainly suburban with the districts of the Cottages, the Wood-Saint-Denis and theGallant one.
Tremblay-in-France is also famous for its natural greenery and its sites which were safeguarded wild town planning of the Sixties and Seventies. Thus a wooded solid mass of 70 hectares, inherited the large forests which covered the North of the Ile-de-France, makes Tremblay-in-France the green exception of the Seine-Saint-Denis. An exception confirmed by the presence of the channel of Ourcq and its green banks in the south, like by banks of Sausset in north.
The city is mainly accessible by the highway, by and the station of the RER of Green-Gallant the, in direct connection from the station of north.
History
The village draws its name from Latin tremuletum , the wood of tremble or white poplars. Evoked France is the Pays of France, plain agricultural of the North-East of Paris where the city is located.
The territory knew a human occupation as of the Paléolithique then during the Neolithic as attest it many objects found by farmers or during the digging of the Canal of Ourcq. The current village is established around the source of the Sausset, small river of the plain of France. It enters the possessions of powerful the Abbaye of Saint-Denis in 834 following a gift of Louis the Piles. As of the the Middle Ages, the village is distributed between Petit Tremblay and Grand Tremblay. At that time, the inhabitants live cereal field crop or wool sale of sheep, sold in particular at the time of the Foire of Lendit with Saint-Denis.
Located at the variation of the main roads, the majority of the events of the history hardly reach it and this until the French revolution. The first big change is the construction of the Canal of Ourcq, decided by Napoleon i, which then makes it possible to the peasants to more easily sell their productions with Paris. In 1870 and 1871, at the time of the war free-Prussian, the inhabitants of the village take refuge in Paris, harvests are plundered. At the 20th century, the commune is again in the center of the events of the First World War: the Taxis of the Marne started from Gagny are inspected on the place of the village by the general Gallieni.
From the Years 1920, the commune knows, like many of its neighbors, an important transformation with the construction of private housing estates along the railway Paris Soissons, on old waste lands in the south of the territory. North remains agricultural then and leads a life to share. A communist municipality is elected in 1935. In 1974 is inaugurated the airport of Roissy-Charles-of-Gaulle, in the extreme north of the commune.
To the beginning of the 21e century, Tremblay thus presents an original configuration with an urbanized south, a village center surrounded by arable lands and the north occupied by the airport installations and of the zones of economic activities (Paris-North II). The village, or “Old Country” remained preserved.
Into 2007, the construction project of a vast shopping mall in the south of the airport platform on the zone of freight divides and causes the polemic among the inhabitants and the town councilors. Baptized “Aéroville”, this giant shopping mall of almost five hectares of surface (: 49986 m) drawn by the Architect Christian de Portzamparc, must leave ground in 2008 for an opening in 2012. Of a cost estimated at 270 million Euro S, it must accommodate a large surface Auchan “new concept”, top-of-the-range shops, but also of the noncommercial services like a postal antenna, a nursery and a hall sports, as well as a carpark of: 4700 places. The unit will be dissimulated by a roof “undulating like a coat” according to the architect and will be framed of a landscape garden and a green casting. According to its originator, Unibail , it is conceived to attract the tourists in shops of luxury and the employees of the platform, which suffer from a trade deficit and services. However, considering the current saturation of the road access roads to the airport, the exponential increase in the problems of circulation is denounced, and the small shopkeepers estimate that the project “will transform the downtown areas of the surroundings into ghettos”, the local store which cannot survive this new offer, which is added with a on-representation in the sector with large surfaces, in particular in the north of the Seine-Saint-Denis (Parinor, Paris-North II in the south, shopping mall of Claye-Souilly in the east).
Name changes
862 - The inventory of the Abbaye of Saint-Denis mentions the places under the name of Trimlidum .Old Mode - the village is called Tremblay in France or Tremblay-Saint-Denis.
Revolutionary Period - the village is named Tremblay-without-Breeches
In 1887 - the common one adds les-Goness to the terminology of Tremblay used after the revolutionary period.
In 1989 - the town of Tremblay-lès-Gonesse becomes again Tremblay-in-France.
One often finds the name preceding of Tremblay spelled wrongly Tremblay-les-Gonesses. In fact as former French the word the meant “ close to ”, one thus should not grant.
At the end of the Years 1980, a local Référendum was organized so that the inhabitants of Tremblay come to a conclusion about the change of denomination of the city. Located in the Country of France like other villages for example its famous neighbor Roissy-in-France, the new name recalls that the commune is located in the country of France, i.e. in the heart of the Île-de-France.
In addition to the easy word games on Tremblay which wearied the autochtones, the reference to the town of Gonesse formerly justified at the time of the constitution of the old department of the Seine-et-Oise had become unsuitable (there was another Tremblay, except for the article, in the same department: It Tremblay-on-Mauldre today in the Yvelines). The current number of residents of Tremblay is higher than that of the town of Gonesse.

The programming will be centered on artists for whom the meeting with the public belongs to work. My objective is above all to show in Tremblaysiens which the theater is not a closed place, only accessible to a certain category of people, but a place to create lien" , explains the director of the establishment.
