It was a commune with whole share before the fusion of the communes of 1977.
Tree deserves its name well: in its nest of meadows and wood greens, it causes the admiration of its many visitors. Burnot, small brook favourable with the breeding of the Fario trout, was a place of industrial activities in XVIe and XVIIe centuries.
