Treaty of Kutchuk-Kaïnardji
The Traité of Kutchuk-Kaïnardji (or Küçük Kaynarca ) is a peace treaty concluded between the Russia and the Ottoman Empire the July 21st 1774. It puts an end to the conflict which opposed the two empires between 1770 and 1774 which saw the rising of part of the Greece and the forwarding of the brothers Orloff.
This treaty one of most unfavourable is signed by the Othomans. It was signed in Kutchuk-Kaïnardji, town of Bulgaria.
The treaty grants independence to the the Crimea which is not long in passing under Russian control and where the sultan preserves only one religious ascent on the Moslems who are there.
