Treaty of Corbeil (1258)

Last treaty the May 11th 1258 with Corbeil (the Essonne) between the representatives of the king Jacques Ier d' Aragon (Guillaume de Roquefeuil) and of the king de France Louis IX, in which the king of France yields his rights on the Catalogne and the king of Aragon yields his rights on the Languedoc (except Montpellier).

This treaty fixes the border of the kingdom of France at the south of the Corbières, kept, French side by the fortresses of Termes, Aguilar, Quéribus, Peyrepertuse and Puylaurens. The knights Olivier de Termes and Raimond Gaucelm de Lunel are undoubtedly the principal craftsmen of this treaty.
