Treaty of Bucharest (1812)
The Traité Bucharest was signed the May 28th 1812 between the Ottoman Empire and the Russian Empire, and thus finishes the Russo-Turkish Guerre of 1806-1812.
Under its terms, the Bessarabia (currently the Republic of Moldavie for its major part) was yielded to the Russian Empire, the Prout marking the border Is of Russia. Moreover, it thus obtained rights of trade on the the Danube.
The treaty, signed by the Russian commander Mikhaïl Koutousov, was ratified by Alexandre Ier of Russia only the day before the invasion of Russia by Napoleon.
