Treaty of Athens

The Traité of Athens was signed the April 16th 2003 and devotes the fifth widening of the European Union, with the entry of Cyprus, of the Estonia, the Hungary, the Latvia, the Lithuania, Malta, the Poland, the Slovakia, the Slovenia and the Czech Republic.

It amends the Treaties establishing the European Community (TCE) and the European Union (KEEP SILENT), and came into effect on May 1st 2004.
