Treaty Eden-Rayneval
The treated Eden-Rayneval is a trade agreement signed between the France and the Great Britain the September 26th 1786. The signatories are William Eden of Auckland and Mathias Joseph Gerard de Rayneval.
It puts an end to the economic Guerre between these two countries, and founds a system of progressive reduction of the customs duties. In Great Britain, it is inspired by the secession of the the United States, and by the publication of the Richesse of the nations .
British the Prime Minister, William Pitt the Young person, is strongly marked by the ideas of Adam Smith, and is the major inspirer of the treaty.
The British succeed in negotiating very favorably, and the lowering of the safeguarding of certain French industries striking quickly. The treaty belongs to the objections quoted at the beginning of the French revolution.
