Trauma Center: Under the Knife

Trauma Center: Under The Knife is a Video game of Atlus left on Nintendo DS on June 16th 2005 with the Japan, on October 5th, 2005 with the the United States and on April 28th, 2006 in Europe. It is about a simulation of Chirurgie using the tactile capacities of the console, in which the player must carry out operations on patients.

Context

The action of the play is in 2018. The majority of the Disease S such as the AIDS and the Cancer were éradiquées. However, a mysterious disease known under the name of TAC (" anti-immunocellulaire" toxin;) threaten humanity. As a surgeon at the Hope hospital, you are quickly contacted by the Caduceus organization to contribute to the eradication of this new threat. The operations are sometimes rather extravagant (draining of bomb, etc…) and can even take you along to South Africa!

Gameplay

The player incarnates Derek Stiles (Kousuke Tsukimori), a Chirurgie N beginning which owes, according to the situations, to open with the scalpel, to pass from disinfecting, recoudre, to extract from tumors etc in order to look after his patients. Each patient consititue a different level. The player must carry out the tasks in a certain order and without missing more than one limited number of actions, while supervising the state of the patient (cardiac beats, development of infections) under penalty of seeing it dying and to have to start again.

Each end of level is punctuated scenes of dialog where various members of the hospital intervene, represented in a style Manga.
