Tratado de ParÃs (1783)
The Loi of measurements of war grants to the federal government special capacities enabling him to control by decree when it perceives the threat of a war, an invasion or an insurrection, real or apprehended. The State also receives capacities increased as regards detention, of exclusion and deportation of immigrants. The Law of the measurement of war suspends the civil laws concerning safety, defense, peace, the order and the wellbeing of Canada. Moreover, it gives to the police force capacities to apprehend and seek the people without justifications and to retain the citizens during 90 days without giving reasons.
History
The August 18th 1914, the Canadian preserving federal government of Robert Borden adopts and sets up the Loi of measurements of war (War Measures Act) at the time of the First World War.The December 8th 1941, the Canadian liberal federal government of William Lyon Mackenzie King applies the Law to the measures of wars, to any person of Japanese racial descent. Within the framework of this same law, the minister will have the capacity to off-set them with more than one hundred thousand of the west coast.
The October 16th 1970, following the requests for Robert Bourassa, Québécois Prime Minister and of Jean Flag, mayor of Montreal, the liberal federal government of Pierre Elliott Trudeau sets up the Law of measurements of war to counter the threat of FLQ at the time of the Crise of October.
The September 11th 2001, following the terrorist attacks with the the United States, measurements of war were founded partly.
