Trantor
Trantor is a city-planet imagined by the writer of science fiction Isaac Asimov in its novels of the Cycle of the Empire and the Cycle of Foundation.
History
Trantor was essential little by little like capital of a sector of the galaxy then of a galactic empire pluri-millenium. At the time of its splendor, Trantor, planet close to the galactic center, are reserved for the administration of the Empire which extends in all the galaxy. After the fall of the Empire and the setting with bag of Trantor, the last ones living planet, which name Hamiens, make an agricultural world of it, but in spite of that it remains still much of vestiges of the old city. The last places still remained intact are the imperial palace and the galactic university/library remained under the protection of the Second Founders.
Presentation
Its surface quasi-intégralement is quasi-intégralement covered by domes, except for the gardens of the imperial palace. The component essence of the city Trantor (40 billion inhabitants) is underground and is distributed on several levels of depths. One needs 20 planets to nourish Trantoriens. It shelters the palate of the emperor and the imperial library.
Sectors
Here the name and the description of sectors of Trantor where Hari Seldon passes at one time when with another of its tour, at the time of the Empire.-
Sector of Kan , Sector of Trantor located at the South pole of the Planet. At the time of the empire, its dirigents (mayors of Kan) covets the post of emperor.

imperial Sector , residence of the emperor. It is only the Partie Trantor which is not covered with domes.

Sector of Mycogène , almost independent sector which lives in Communauté closed. The women are scorned in their company and they follow rules of mystical Vie.

Sector of Streeling , it is the Secteur which shelters prestigious Université of Streeling, where Hari Seldon carried out most of its work.

Sector of Dahl , underprivileged Sector of Trantor. Its inhabitants are poor, violent one and often work with the thermal wells. The inhabitants of the sector are the dahlites, which can be brought closer, in the real-world by the dalits. It is in this sector that Hari Seldon meets his/her future collaborator Yugo Amaryl and its adoptive future wire Raych Seldon.

The planet Coruscant, by the universe Star Wars, is probably inspired by Trantor.
