NB: Djibouti and the Ethiopia project to revitalize this line inaugurated in 1917 to connect to them two capitals and plan to concede it with a group deprived to modernize it and improve its exploitation.

The wearing of Djibouti is the principal maritime outlet of Ethiopia, landlocked country since the loss of the Érythrée. 90% of the traffic are done by road way.
