Transmitter of Sottens
The transmitting Sottens is a broadcasting transmitter being on the commune of Sottens in the Canton of Vaud in Suisse.
History
- April 23rd, 1931: Inauguration of the national transmitter of Sottens in medium waves. According to convention between the French Company of radiophony (S.R.R.) and Radio-Geneva, those will use the new transmitter jointly.

1972, the transmitter short waves of Sottens takes up duty. With 500 kw, it makes it possible to multiply by ten the power of diffusion of " Radio Switzerland Internationale".

1989, replacement of the first antenna

1994, the transmitter medium waves does not diffuse any more Radio French-speaking Switzerland 1 but the 4th chain of the French Radio, " Musique" option; , “the chain of the song”.
