Transmitter of Europe 1
The transmitting Europe 1 is the the oldest broadcasting transmitter private of Germany. This transmitter located at Felsberg - Berus owes its existence with the special statute of the the Saar in the Années 1950. With a power of 2000 Kilowatt S, it appears among the most powerful European transmitters. It diffuses a program in French language towards France. It is connected by a special line to Paris, place of production of the programs.
Its antenna is a directional antenna made up of four masts 270 meters, 276 meters, 280 meters and 282 meters height.
The building, in which the devices of transmission are stored, is a concrete building without pillars. It has a 82 meters length, a width of 43 meters, and a 16 meters height. Its surface is of 2 700 square meters.
In front of this building a tower of telecommunication is, which was employed to diffuse the TV-Saar.
