Transfer (software)

TRANSFERS is a network of file-swapping of “third generation” which gets functionalities of research and remote loading, while functioning in an anonymous way completely . It started to be developed fine 2003. It is often compared with ANts even if it does not have the ambition, like him, of “recâbler” Internet.

Communication protocol

Its protocol of routing is inspired by the model of the colonies of Fourmi S. the communications on TRANSFERS are not directly made a user with the other, but by succession of quantified communications between the pars. The results of the experiments carried out on networks TRANSFERS show that the colony of nodes TRANSFERS quickly finds the way shortest (or fastest) between two nodes of the network.

Anonymity

TRANSFER avoids direct connections with the people who exchange files between them and does not make appear in light the Adresse IP of the users. It uses in the place a “virtual address” supposed to protect anonymity from the exchanges. The whole of the communications necessary to the transfers of file are then quantified.

Other information

The interface of TRANSFERS is very sober but its use simple is compared with complexity of its protocol. Because of the methods of cryptography used, the exchanges are slower than for the traditional networks.

Other networks of anonymisation

  • freenet
  • anonymous GNUnet File-swapping multi functions (multiplateforme)
  • ANts P2P File-swapping, anonymisation of Web server HTTP, and Cat (not anonymized).
