Transcamerounais
The transcamerounais is a railway line Cameroun ease connecting Douala to Ngaoundéré via Yaounde and Bélabo.
History
The first rails of the Cameroun were posed by the German in the neighborhoods of the years 1900. They built thus a line Douala - Nkongsamba and began the line Douala - Yaounde, outline of the future transcamerounais (they went from Douala to Éseka). When the France taken the relay of the German administration, it made completed the construction of the line Douala - Yaounde in the years 1930.
The section Yaounde - Ngaoundéré, started in 1964 was completed in 1974.
In 1999, following the quasi-bankruptcy of Regifercam, Cameronian national railway company, the government allotted to Camrail, subsidiary of Bolloré a 20 years concession on the exploitation of transcamerounais.
