Trans-the-forest
Trans-the-Forest is a common French, located in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine and the area Brittany.
Geography
Trans it forest is located at the south of the canton of Full-Ferns, which itself borders bay of mount-Saint Michel (the polders of Saint-Georges de Gréhaigne, Saint-Broladre and Roz-On-Couesnon were gained at the 19th century on the aforementioned bay). The commune of Trans-the-Forest owes its name with wood which occupies its southernmost part, and which constitutes part of the forest of Villecartier. It is a commune with dominant rural, with a population of 590 inhabitants, where agriculture occupies an important place.
History
Trans merit that one is delayed there because remembering it a Bataille which was held there at the 10th century between Breton and Norman, which saw the Breton victory over the Norman ones and thus the independence of Brittany. The date of this memorable event would be on August 1st 939, and became the festival " nationale" from Brittany. Today, one can still observe the traces of the two camps strengthened around the pond of Ruffien. Ditches surround two spaces which were to be surrounded by a palisade.

The commune of Trans-the-Forest has many small monuments, some as old as the menhir of City-Pican, others more recent as these crosses which mark out the ways. But what gives its charm to the borough, cest its church, one of oldest of the sector, of which certain parts go back to the 15th century.
Personalities related to the commune
Alain Rémond, ex-journalist with Télérama, lived in Trans in the Fifties. It drew a book " from it; Each day is a adieu" , where he tells his childhood.
