Tram of Reduction-Salted

The Tramway of Reduction-Salted is planned for 2010. There existed already a Tram with Reduction in first part of XXe but it since was abondonné.

Gigantic work of this tram one begun in the medium 2005 within the framework of the total installation of the valley of Bouregreg.

New the Tramway will borrow certain layouts of old and will connect the two towns of Rabat and Salé and will ensure a complementarity with the networks of bus and taxis.

Lines in construction

Two lines of 19,5 km on the whole, are envisaged initially:

Line 1: Including/understanding 27 sations, it will connect the district of Tabriquet (Salé) to the University residence of (Rabat)
Ligne 2: Including/understanding 12 sations, it will connect the district of Bettana (Salé) to the District of the Ocean (Rabat)

One envisages a passenger traffic of 51 million users per annum and average costs of the way estimated between 7 at 15 DH (0.70 € with 1.50 €).
