Tram Saint-Denis - Garges-Sarcelles
The tram Saint-Denis - Garges-Sarcelles TCSP is also called - RN1. This project, registered voter with the Contract of projects State-area 2000-2006, aims to disenclose the communes of Pierrefitte-sur-Seine and Sarcelles, while continuing the development of the connections of suburbs with suburbs. The project relates to 5 communes:
- Saint-Denis, Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, in the Seine-Saint-Denis
- Montmagny, Sarcelles, Garges-lès-Gonesse in the Val-d'Oise.
The realization of the tyred Tramway makes it possible to create a direct connection in public transport between the north of Plaine Commune and the south of the Val-d'Oise.
A connection which will facilitate displacements of many employees who circulate between the two territories (: 16166 credits of the Val-d'Oise each day will work in Plaine Commune, while: 6147 inhabitants of Plaine Commune work in the Valley of Oise).
Moreover, of the urban centres of the importance of Saint-Denis and Garges-Sarcelles constitute centres of attraction for displacements related on the trade (the markets of these two cities attract customers of all the surroundings) or to the leisures.
Lastly, the Tangentielle North will be accessible, starting from the tram, by a connection pedestrian improved on the RD 28 (ex " street of the universités" , i.e. the Paved of Amiens renovated and the creation of a street enter the north of the Paving stone of Amiens and the street Jean Allemane to Villetaneuse).
History: the tram 11b of STCRP
The N°11b tram line of STCRP Station of the East - Dam Pierrefitte , created on May 1st, 1922, passed by Carrefour Pleyel, the Door of Paris, the church Saint-Denis-in Estrée and the place of the Leclerc General to Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis) and went up to Pierrefitte by the Main road, by serving some the Town hall. The terminus was with the Dam Pierrefitte (crossing of the main roads and.It transported: 4400000 travellers in 1926, and was removed on May 18th, 1936: with the profit of a service road by Buses, then considered as more modern…
All the northern part of this line 11b corresponds appreciably to the layout of the new tire tram.

Characteristics
- length: 6,6 km;
- many stations: 16;
- Population concerned with less than 400 m: 72.200 inhabitants and 11.000 employment
- awaited annual traffic: 8.800.000 voyages;
- block speed envisaged: 18 to 20 km/h;
- Intervals: 4 minutes in full hours, 8 minutes in off-peak hours
- 15 oars of tyred the tram type will ensure the exploitation of the line.
Financing
According to the deliberation of the Board of directors of the STIF of November 22nd, 2006, which approved the convention of financing, the cost of this infrastructure of 163 M€ is financed by:- the Area Ile-de-France (106,7 M€);
- the State (28 M€),
- the General advice of the Val-d'Oise (16,3)
- the RATP (ready of the Area Ile-de-France (12 M€).

It includes/understands 16 stations, dont1 to 4 with Saint-Denis,
5 to 10 with Pierrefitte
11 with Pierrefitte, Montmagny and Sarcelles,
12 to 16 with Sarcelles.

August 1st The control of work of the project is ensured by:- the Department of Seine-Saint-Denis for installations of roadway system on the Seine-Saint-Denis.
- the department of the Val-d'Oise, for the installations of roadway system located on its territory and at the north of the crossroads known as of the Stopping,
- the RATP, future owner, for the transport system.
Prolongations considered
The project of SDRIF returned public in November 2006 envisages the prolongation of the line through Garges-lès-Gonesse.
