The Training certificate with the professorship of physical education and sporting (CAPEPS) is during CAPES for the teachers in physical education and sporting (EPS).
Access terms
In order to become professor of EPS in the second degree of the French School system (college or College), the future teachers of EPS must succeed in the contest of the CAPEPS, reserved to the holders of a license STAPS mention Education and Motricité or of an equivalence (there exists an internal competition for the holders of the public office).

Admissibility
- the writes 1 on the history of the EPS, the school system and the sporting practices (of 1945 to our days), like on the EPS in Europe today. (coef.4)

Admission
the tests of admissibility proceed with the CREPS of Vichy, in June.- the oral 1 is a talk followed by a maintenance on the basis of file concerning two classes seen in situation school, and exposed in a file brought by the candidate. The candidate observed his two classes in an activity (each one) and is questioned on what it could propose to them in other APSA, starting from its observations. (coeff 4)
- the oral 2 , on didactic and scientific knowledge of a collective sport or swimming or athletics or sporting gymnastics or eurhythmics. A question about a situation of teaching in the " spécialité" of the candidate (15min preparation), then a question (without preparation) about the grouping of activity of the speciality of the candidate. Lastly, a question (without preparation) about one of the other groupings of activities of this oral examination. Y are attached 4 of the five physical tests. The total coefficient of the test is 6.
- the oral 3 , on didactic and scientific knowledge of an individual sport. Y is attached the fifth physical test. The coefficient of the test is of 2.
- Five practical physics : Gymnastic Athletics, , Swimming, a collective sport and an individual sport.
