Financing
Financially, CFA are divided into two categories:
-
CFA with national convention are directly financed - completely or partially - by the State which passes a convention with these establishments. The training being decentralized, the State intervenes only exceptionally to meet requirements in training which the regional structures are not able to satisfy. This is why CFA with national recruitment remain very few. The State education passes from conventions of creation of CFA only in the following cases: formations with weak manpower, dispersion of the apprentices on all the territory, need for a particular heavy infrastructure, specific trainings (e.g. CFA with national recruitment of shipping or national CFA of organ builders, CFA of EDF with the nuclear plants).
- CFA with regional convention - which is most numerous - receive a budget allotted by the District council.
