Traffic of children

The traffic of children is a form of Trafic of human beings. It is about a criminal activity.

Definition

One speaks about traffic or draft of the children as soon as those are moved inside or outside the borders by the force, the coercion or the trick and placed in situations where they are exploited economically or sexually. The children victims of the traffic of the children can be exploited like children soldiers, workers agricultural, domestic, etc In Haiti, one speaks children restaveks.

One can also exploit the children victims of traffic at ends of prostitution or to make them work in Ateliers of misery or Sweatshops. For the ends of Convention 182 of the International organization of the work of 1999 (Convention concerning the prohibition of the worst forms of child work and the immediate action for their elimination), a child is elderly of less than 18 years. A folder of the International organization of work specifies that the traffic term of the children includes “very practical under the terms of whom a person of less than 18 years is given, either by his/her parents, or by his tutor with a third, against payment or not, for the exploitation of the aforesaid the person or of her work like any transport or commercial act whose the aforementioned person would be the object”.

The traffickers often exploit the extreme poverty of the parents, all in their making believe that it is about an occasion by which them child will have the possibility of acquiring a professional training and a source of revenue. In many cases, the children being the subject of traffic lost one or the other their parents if not both. Africa

Several coastal countries of West Africa are shown by of ONG practicing the slavery of the children.

Currently investigations take place to clarify a traffic of children bought at the Bénin and resold at the Congo-Brazzaville to work on vessels fishing with Point-Black.

In several countries, children continue to be victims of the slave system. Specific initiatives make discover this phenomenon. Egypt is not remains about it as well as other Maghreb country.
