Traditionally pacifist churches
The term “Churches traditionally pacifist” (in English “Historic Peace Churches - HPC”) recovers usually three religious movements resulting from the Christianisme.
- the Mennonitisme is a branch of the movement anabaptist, organized around Menno Simons at the 16th century.
- the religious Société of the Friends , whose members are more known under the name of Quakers , is current alarm clock of the Anglo-Saxon Protestantisme appeared in second half of the 17th century.
- the Brethren (or Brothers ), resulting from the Anabaptism and appeared in Germany at the 18th century.
These movements have a deep pacifist engagement in common, refusing the Military service in particular (Conscientious objection).
