Trades of the Middle Ages
The professions of the Moyen-âge are known to us by some texts, of which the Livre of the trades of Etienne Boileau, and of the royal decrees.
The trades are generally organized in Corporation S, with a patron saint suitable for each one. The corporations are composed of Masters and companions.
With Paris, in 1292, 130 trades are indexed and organized.
