Syndicalisme for the equality is a sensitivity of the tendency National Majorité of UNEF, first studied trade union of France. This sensitivity belongs to a current of idea already old present in UNEF-ID then UNEF reunified.

This sensitivity appeared with the national congress of Rheims of December 2005, when the Tendency social transformation decided to be combined with the National Majorité.

Tendency social transformation

The line of the Tendance social transformation (TTS) differed from that of the National Majorité on basic problems and from form; in particular on the question of the financing of the Allowance of autonomy, of the financing of the universities, or about questions of internal organization, in particular the vote with secret bulletin at the time of the congresses. However, the TTS took part, already, with the direction of UNEF since 2003 within a majority of work. The militants of the TTS are also militants mutualists and, in 2003, Michael Delafosse becomes president of LMDE.

Tendency equality

The TTS, is the heiress of the Tendance equality which was one of the tendency of UNEF-ID. The Tendency equality appeared at the beginning of 2000 when Sensitivity together for the equality decided to leave the majority of the trade union, carried out by Carine Seiler. To mark this rupture, Michael Delafosse then resigned of the post of vice-president of the UNEF-ID which it occupied as a member of the majority.

SEPE

Alliance, between the Sensitivity together for the equality (SEPE) and the majority went back to 1994. It had made it possible the SEPE to obtain stations important at the national office and thus, to weigh on the orientation of the trade union. Its militants in particular illustrated themselves at the university commission. They especially obtained the vice-presidency of UNEF-ID for their leaders of the moment, Mickaël Dahan then Michael Delafosse.

In 1996 the SEPE passed through a crisis. On this date, the wing more reformist of the sensitivity announces its concern and denounces an increasingly radical orientation. Also, it decides in July to form autonomous sensitivity inside the SEPE known as trade-union Alternative. Before 1993, the Tendency future be an ally faithful of the direction and this since its appearance at the end of the years 1980. Its various organizers or stimulating were Olivier Daronnat (1994 - 1997), Mickaël Dahan (1997 - 1999), Michael Delafosse (1999 - 2001), Anne-Lise Barral (2001 - 2003), Fanélie Carrey-Tale (2003 - 2005), Benjamin Vételé (2005 - 2007) and Sophie Binet (since 2007).

Result by congress

This tendency collected 22% of the votes of the members of the UNEF at the time of the National congress of Lyon in 2003. In 2001 whereas it was still called Tendance Equality, it had obtained 21,6% of the mandates. In 1994, the Tendency To rebuild had obtained 15% of the militant votes to the congress of Paris.

Principal OLD of the sensitivity

The Sensitivity trade unionism for the equality ensures the direction of OLD of fourteen French university towns (Avignon, Saint-Etienne, Montpellier, Lorient - Vannes, Nantes, Nice, Brest, Lille, Orleans, Tours, Mulhouse Cergy, IEP Paris, La Rochelle, Dunkirk). Its militants are also present in several other OLD.
