Trade union of the departmental daily press

The Syndicat of the departmental daily press is a French organization.

History

  • 1944, of the daily newspapers which diffuse on one or more departments join together under the name of Syndicat of the Départementaux" Daily newspapers; (SQD) and is affiliated with the National federation of the press française' (FNPF).
  • In 1945, the trade union changes name and becomes the Syndicat of the Daily newspapers of Province (SQP).

  • In 1973, the trade union becomes again the Syndicat of the Departmental Daily newspapers (SQD),

  • In May 1997, the trade union chooses the name definitively: Trade union of the Departmental Daily press (SPQD).

Missions

  • Faithful to the principles of independence and Freedom of the press, the Trade union of the departmental daily press has as an aim the defense of the professional and moral interests of the adherent press companies by means of a common organization. It ensures also various performances of service, in particular for the members.
  • the Trade union ensures the representation of the departmental daily press in many professional authorities.

Elected presidents of the SPQD

  • 1944 - 1966: Fred Gueze.
  • 1962 - 1978: Gaston Lord of the manor, the Freedom of the East .
  • 1966 - 1978: Raymond Dubreuil.
  • 1978 - 1990: Jean Bletner, the Newspaper of Haute-Marne .
  • 1990 - 1998: Alain Gascon.
  • 1998 - 2004: Alain Boulonne, Yonne Républicaine .
  • Since 2004: François Knows It, Is Flash .

Members

27 departmental daily newspapers are adherent with the SPQD. Other titles, which belong in particular to press groups regional, made the choice adhere to the Syndicat of the daily regional newspaper.
