In France

The company and trade register is held at the Clerk's office of the Bankruptcy courts or, in the absence of this jurisdiction in a spring, by the secretariat of the Court of Bankruptcy. The Register is placed the monitoring of a Magistrat made for this purpose.

In Switzerland

In Swiss, the Trade register or RC , is the collection public which counts all company names. It publishes also certain information with regard to them.

Legal characteristics

The RC is governed by the Code of the obligations in articles 927 and following. Each canton is held to have a RC, but it is free to create several of them to distribute them by areas or districts.

The majority of the cantons has only one central RC which counts the totality of company names present on its territory, except for: ; Canton of Bern: four RC broken down by zone: Bern-Mittelland, Emmental-Oberaargau, the Jura Bernese-Zeeland and Oberland Bernese ; Canton of Tessin: eight RC broken down by district: Mendrisio, Lugano, Locarno, Vallemaggia, Bellinzona, Riviera, Blenio and Leventina ; Canton of Were worth: three RC broken down by area: High-were worth, Low-Were worth and Were worth central

Inscription with the Trade register

The inscription with the RC is obligatory to acquire the legal Personality. All the companies must be registered, except the independent ones. For certain legal people, the inscription becomes it only with condition:
