Track (airport)
A track (of landing or takeoff) of a Aéroport is a strip of land on which the Avion S can land or take off. The tracks can be in Béton, in asphalts, in Herbe or right out of ground.

" Sections" track
Bandage of track
It is about the zone around the track itself. It is deprived of all the obstacles which could interfere with the flight and the rolling of the planes, but it is not inevitably in good condition. The zone which is normally right a grassy surface and is marked by cones or pinions.
Zone anti-breath
The zone anti-breath is often built right before the beginning of the track, where the breath of hot air produced by the planes during takeoff could erode the ground and damage the track. This zone can also be conceived to be used as emergency space in the event of problems during takeoff. It is often less resistant than the principal track and is marked by yellow rafters. It is interdict to roll or station on this zone during takeoff or the landing, except in the event of urgency.
Shifted threshold
The threshold is in end of track. It is normally marked by a white line (but not always for the small tracks). A moved threshold (see the image) is marked by arrows which lead to the threshold itself. It can be used for rolling and takeoff, but not for the landing. That can be with three reasons: obstacles are present right before the track, the runway strength or restrictions of noise.
Numbers of track
- the number of a track is defined by its magnetic orientation of round ten degrees:
- a track directed with the 038° will be numbered 04,
- a track directed in North will be numbered 36…
- When an aerodrome has several tracks directed in the same direction one uses a letter:
- L for left
- R for right
- C for center
- On the large airports one will thus have for example 36R and the 36L
- the classification of a track defines the direction in which one traverses this track. One will speak about the 9 if one traverses it West towards the East, and of the 27 (9+18) if it is traversed Is towards the West.
