The trachoma is a ocular infection contagious Bactérie nonspecific and caused by Chlamydia trachomatis . Concerning at the beginning the Eyelid, it evolves in the absence of treatment to irreversible lesions Cornée which can lead to the Cécité. With 84 million of people touched (it quasi totality in the poorest areas of the sphere) including 8 million with a visual deficiency, this very old disease is in 2007 the first avoidable cause of Cécité in the world and is the subject of a program of eradication by the the World Health Organization.
