But it was time to replace the old temple, or rather this kind of dark crypt, with the walls cracks, which held place of it. All is perfect harmony in this church, whose single transept is lit by two elegant blazing canopies. The gate opening on the Eastern frontage of the tower is remarkable by its height, the depth and the relief of its mouldings. Inside, one admires the high altar whose trunk is decorated niches with pinnacles, in which the artist placed Our-Lord and the Evangelists. The retable is not less remarkable by its platforms, its planks and its tympanums Gothic. It rises gracefully until the height of the skirting, without masking the mistress-pane. Finally the pulpit, the benches, the catafalque, the grids, all in a word in this small church deserves to fix the glances. ” March 16th, 1924 was blessed the first stone of the new church. Allée covered with Coat-Mez
The farm of Coat-Mez not far from the castle of Boisriou preserves the remainder of a shady walk. Iconography: postcard of the series of the monuments megalithic of Brittany of the editor Emile Hamonic of Saint-Brieuc: “4069: Shady walk of Wood-Péou with Trévoux-Tréguignec (sic), is used as barn”.
Beach of Trestel
The beach of Trestel seems to have been a conquest made by the sea. One indeed finds there remainders of a Forêt become under marine. Benjamin Jollivet (1856) explains that the beach was formerly planted trees of mature standing timber. “Everywhere, indeed, with very small depths (from 60 to 80 centimetres) one discovers trunks of Aulne S or Chêne S which the inhabitants exploit and sell. Each day, an unhappy population, the pickaxe with the hand, excavates the beach in all directions and withdraws from them sometimes fragments, sometimes secular trees any entireties. The meadows which border the strike and which undoubtedly touched with this wood or forest, are called PEN-rear-guern, three Breton words which mean head or beginning of the Aulnaie. All thus confirms the existence of a wood, in moved back times, where the sea reigns today into sovereign”.
Manor of Baloré (XVe - XVIe century)
The manor of Baloré was in the beginning the stronghold of the lords of the same name who blasonnaient “Of sand to a gold castle, summoned of three of the same pivots” (the One-eyed one, armorial, 1667). This family melted itself in that of Trévou, lords of the manor close to the Trévou-Arm. This one carried “of money to the sand leopard, accompanied by six merlettes by same posed in orle”. The currency of the family is “Pa garro Doué” (When God likes it). Several characters illustrated the history of this family. For extra informations on the family of Trévou to see the genealogy of the family of Flesh-colored.- In 1418, Yves of Trévou accompanies the duke by Brittany in his voyage in France.
- In 1477, Olivier marries Guillemette de Quélen.

- Sebastien of Trévou orders “the Butterfly” (see sub-section of the chapter history).
- the family of Trévou lives the castle of Traofeunteuniou, in Ploujean, in 1755, when it puts the manor of Baloré on sale. The manor is acquired - funds and right convenanciers - by Mr Louis Pasquiou, notary royal with Kergouanton, manor close to Trélévern. The manor since remained in the same family.
- In 1795, one of Trévou, lieutenant, is shot in Quiberon.
Note: The manor of Baloré formerly had its own vault of the name of Saint-Thérézien. In 1389, the pope granted, by bubble, of indulgences to all those which would help with the restoration of this vault damaged by the wars.
The silhouette of this manor was rather known for a long time schoolboys. Indeed, several editions of the handbooks of geography of Schrader and Gallouédec show an engraving of the manor with for legend: a Breton Farm . Brittany de Gallouédec makes appear the same illustration with a more precise legend: the Manor of Trévoux .
The manor opens on a carriage door of Granite and on an adjacent massive vault with the beautiful gray color. A little further in parallel, other vaults and a carriage door constitute the entry of the interior court close to the well. The buildings are built at right angles with a central turret which shelters a spiral staircase serving the various rooms of the manoir.
A very old statue of Saint-Yves formerly decorated the hall with entry. Unmemorable time, the lease stipulated that a candle was to burn in front of “the guard of the place”, on May 19th, day of its fête.
The interiors are practically simple with a granite chimney in each pièce.
Behind the manor, in the garden delimited by a wall builds in 1819, draws up the dovecote seigneurial. Not far from there, there remains a base where a sundial rested, 18th century, now disappeared. This dial carried this melancholic person inscription: SICUT FUGIUNT HOROE, SIC VITA MEA FUGIT (As the hours flee, thus flees the life).
(According to a article published in " The dispatch trégorroise" in October 1981 and starting from the notes of the Goardou Abbot, former vice-chancellor of Tréduder and member of the Company of emulation of the Coasts of North. The Goardou family held the farm of Baloré during many years until 1954)
Castle of Boisriou
“This noble ground belonged to the 16th century, in François de Carnavalet, sior of Wood-Riou, in Trévou-Tréguignec. This character went famous to the court of Henri II and his sons of which he had been governor. He was knight of the order, Master of the Horse of France, lieutenant of the company of the men-at-arms of Henri III, governor of Anjou, Bourbonnais and Foretz. This same Carnavalet family of Wood-Riou provided one of the four lieutenants of the guards of Louis XIV. She carried: money with three faces, accompanied by ten merlettes, the whole of sand. To the 17th century, the castle of Wood-Riou passed to the hands of Madam de Villeneuve of Louët, which was, because of this ground, recognized as founder of the parish by the information of 1695”. This place also gave its name to the family the One-eyed one of Boisriou. This family is resulting from a brother of Guy the One-eyed one, the author of Armorial of Brittany (1667). This family inherited the field of Boisriou following a marriage of 1677 and has had it for this time.
