Toyama

Toyama (富山市, - shi ) is the capital of the Préfecture of Toyama to the Japan. The city is located on the coasts of the Mer of Japan on the island of Honshū, to 200 km in the north of Nagoya and 300 km in the North-West of Tōkyō.

The town of Toyama was the capital of the province of Etchū. The modern city was founded on April 1st 1889.

In 2005, the city had a population of 420  804 inhabitants for a density of 338,85 hab/km ². Total surface area of the east city of 1  241,85 km ².
