Towson is the seat of the Comté of Baltimore, Maryland, the United States of America. The locality is located at the north of Baltimore, more the big city of the State. The census of 2000 indicates a population of: 51793 inhabitants. Densité : 604,9  hab/km ² (1  566,6  hab/mi ²). Surface totale : 36,8  km ² (14,2  semi ²). Coordinates géographiques :.

The settlement of the city begins in the neighborhoods from 1750, when the brothers William and Thomas Towson, come from Pennsylvania, settle there to establish their farm. A small village of the name of Towsontown starts to grow. In 1790, one built there Hampton Mansion, then the largest house of the country.

Spiro Agnew (born Spiros Anagnostopoulos), vice-president of Richard Nixon until her resignation in 1973;
