Demography
To the wire of time, Townsville extended towards the west, moving away from the coast towards the old rural area of Thuringowa. With the last Census, Thuringowa was the town of Australia having more the strong growth. However, the recent events in the disinherited districts of Townsville change the demographic future again.
New suburbs and demography in evolution of the " Twin Cities" debates caused among the inhabitants to decide if the Center-ville would remain directly on the coast or would be moved towards the interior of the continent. The competition between the two cities and the presence of great centers on the coast feed the debate.
