Town square or town square is a generic name indicating the central place of a Ville in Belgium or in the Northern of the France.

The most famous town square are those of Brussels for Belgium and that of Lille for France. In the beginning, the town square is the nerve center of the towns of these areas. They sheltered moreover the largest market of the city (the town square of Brussels is on this subject called Grote Markt in Dutch).
