Town-planning
With the Quebec, the town-planning is the document of Planification which establishes the guiding lines of the space and physical organization of a Municipalité while presenting an overall vision of the installation of its territory. This document constitutes the most important official document of the municipality as regards planning of the installation of its territory and it contains the policies of town planning adopted by the municipal council who will guide his decision making in the future. It is decision-making tools which give a direction common to the sectoral policy options, while offering an opening as for the intentions of the municipality for the agents of development. Moreover, in theory, the lawful parameters of the town-planning make it possible to include/understand logic supporting the regulation of town planning and certain budgetary choices of the triennial program of immobilization.
Most recent Town-planning of the town of Montreal was adopted by the municipal council on November 23rd, 2004 via payment 04-047 revising the town-planning of the Town of Montreal and is into force since December 10th, 2004.
