The tower EDF is a Gratte-ciel of offices located in the district of business of Defense, in France (precisely with Puteaux, in the district of Defense 8,).
Built in 2001 on behalf of the company Électricité de France, it is 165 m high, which does of it one of the turns most of Defense. The plan of the tower is lenticular; in its maximum length, the tower measures more than 70 m length while its maximum width does not exceed 32 Mr.
The principal characteristic of tower EDF lies in the extrusion of a conical form on the first 26 stage of the northern entry; the tower is thus longer at its top than at its base. The northern entry is also surmounted by a circular hood 24 m in diameter.
The tower has other less remarkable characteristics. The top of the conical excavation is with the same height as the ceiling (and not the roof) of the Grande Arche. The tower is also directed perpendicular to the arch; the axis of this one passing besides exactly on the level of the center of the disc surmounting the entry.
The frontage alternates horizontal steel bands and panes.
In the layout plan of Defense, the site of the tower had as a code name " PB6". This name is still used usually by the employees to indicate the tower.
