The Gratte-ciel Tower 42 is the highest building of the City of London and the 5 {{E}} higher of the town of London. Built for the National Westminster Bank , this skyscraper was called NatWest Tower in the beginning. Seen since the top, the shape of the tower resembles the logo of NatWest (three rafters assembled in hexagonal arrangement). The tower, drawn by the architect Richard Seifert, is to the 25 Old Broad Street. It was built between 1971 and 1979 and was inaugurated in 1980, for total costs of 72 million £.
