Towards at the white is a Romance written by Philippe Djian, published in 2000 at Gallimard. It owes part of its celebrity with the pornographic scenes which it contains; what is at the same time justified, and reducing. This rather black work, and depicting the existence of a writer in perdition, is regarded as one of best of its author, and by some like a major novel of its time.

Synopsis

Francis for a long time lost the literary success of its youth. Today, it sells Chinese algae to his friends to survive and its books are hardly sold. It allures the woman of its friend Patrick, who is being the writer with success of the moment. At the request of his wife, it launches out in an impassioned erotic adventure.
