Touya

Touya (or Tyouyou) was noble of the Egyptian woman, woman of Youya, and mother of the Grande royal wife Tiyi, wife of Amenhotep III.

She carries the titles of “large of the recluses of Amon”, of “large of the recluses of Min”, and higher of the harem of this god.

Buried with her husband in the tomb KV46, she was discovered in 1905 by the English Egyptologist James E. Quibell. Its mummy, which is today with the Egyptological Museum of Cairo, is in an exceptional state of conservation.
