Tournament of the Federation (female basketball)
The Tournoi of the Federation is a competition of Basket-ball bringing together the 4 teams best classified at the conclusion of the regular season of the Championnat of France LFB. This competition proceeds over one weekend and a single place, the semi-finals taking place saturdays and the finales Sunday.
History
The Tournament of the Federation was created in 1991, on the model of the Tournoi of the male Ace which was held of 1989 with 1993. The female tournament was maintained and the male League, with the Spanish success of the Coupe of the King of basketball, gave to the day the Semaine of the Aces (created in 2003) which, contrary to the Tournament of the Federation, gathers the 8 best teams of the championship.
