Tournament of Paris of judo

The Tournoi of Paris of judo created in 1971 is an international tournament of Judo known as Super has since one of being more raised in the world. According to its organizer, the French federation of Judo, it is “the greatest tournament of the world” as the strong density of combatants attests it coming from the best nations from judo like the Japan, the France or Cuba. For the judokas of these countries, the Parisian tournament constitutes a capital stage in the race with the selections for the future expiries continental, world or Olympic. The Tournament which took place traditionally at its beginnings with the Stade Pierre-with-Coubertin holds since the year 2000 with the general sports Palais of Paris-Bercy.

Edition 2005

The plate 2005 is of first choice with step less than fifteen medal-holders of the Olympic last Games of Athens. France removes 15 medals of which 3d' gold gained by Annabelle Euranie (- 52kg), Daniel Fernandes (- 73kg) and Céline Lebrun (- 78kg).

Edition 2006

At the time of the edition 2006, France gains ten medals including four gold medals all obtained among women: Frederique Jossinet (- 48kg), Lucie Décosse (- 63kg), Celine Lebrun (- 78kg) and Anne-Sophie Mondière (+78kg).

Edition 2007

France gains only one victory at the time of this edition to which is added ten podiums. The world champion Lucie Décosse is beaten finally -63kg by her compatriot Virginia Taurines. In -78kg, Céline Lebrun cannot gain a seventh victory because of a serious wound to a knee. In addition, some young judokas come to hustle the world hierarchy like Aurore Climence (2nd in -48kg) and Teddy Riner (in +100kg). Lastly, the stars world like Japanese Kosei Inoue (1st in +100kg) confirm their statute.
