Tourism-reality

The Tourism-reality indicates a form of tourism of which the goal is to test painful realities.

Examples

Most traditional examples " labellisés" tourism-reality are the visits of a few hours of favela in Rio, slum in Bombay or the site of the nuclear plant in Tchernobyl. Formulas circuits or stay exist. The American defense association of human rights Global Exchange proposes for example of Reality turns in countries like Afghanistan, Venezuela or Vietnam. They are of a militant nature then.

The French term seems to be derived from English tourism, itself copied on the Reality show.

Discusses on ethics

The principal objections relate to the voyeurism of this form of tourism. This form passivates opposes it for example to the interdependent Tourisme.
