economic Toulouse sciences (TSE) is a Réseau set of themes of advanced research created in the shape of a scientific foundation of co-operation entitled Fondation Jean-Jacques Laffont - Toulouse Economic scenes. Economic Toulouse Sciences thus has an advantageous tax statute which will support the financial support of companies and private or public institutions with its development. Its director is Jean Tirole.
Composition
TSE counts, in 2007,101 teacher-researchers (including 49 seniors), 109 post-doctoral doctorands and researchers, as 24 administration and technical executives, geographically gathered on the site of the Manufacture of the Tobaccos of the Université Toulouse I. TSE includes/understands three research teams: the GREMAQ (Group of Research in Mathematical and Quantitative Economy), the LERNA (Laboratory of Economy of the Natural resources) and ARQADE (Workshop of Quantitative Research Applied to Economic development).
Teaching
TSE animates several masters and a doctoral school, the Midday-Pyrenees Economic scenes (MPSE), which proposes a doctorate with the standard of better European and American universities. Teaching is entirely bilingual, French and English. In 2007,60% of the students come from all the countries of the world attracted by the reputation of the researchers of TSE.

The field of TSE relates to the economy, including in its interdisciplinary aspects (in particular with the Droit, the Political science, the Psychologie, the Biologie, the Climatologie, the Agronomie, the Engineerings). Among his strong points, one counts in particular:- business management (the company seen like an organization, internal governorship and finance of company, innovation, strategies of investment, human capital, public-private Partnership, risk management, etc)
- environment of the company (Political Regulation of the markets, of competition, Patent and Intellectual property, finance, political environment, Sustainable development, work contract, etc)
- analysis of specific industries (Technologies information and communication, energy and environment, Transport, agroalimentary, financial intermediation)

The four founding members are the Université Toulouse I (UT1), the École of the high studies in social sciences (EHESS), the National center of the scientific research (CNRS) and the National institute of the agronomic research (INRA).-
