Touchstone Pictures
Touchstone Pictures is a subsidiary company of the Walt Disney Company which was created to produce films to which Walt Disney Company did not wish to affix the Disney label.
Touchstone was created in 1984 by Ron Miller and its first production was Splash . Very quickly, Touchstone became a unit of very profitable Disney. The first film classified R (less than 17 years must be accompanied by an adult) of the company was Down and Out in Beverly Hills in 1986.
The films of Touchstone, like all films of Walt Disney Company, are distributed by Buena Vista International.
